Description:

DraftWise, a fast-scaling legal technology company backed by Y Combinator and top venture firms, is hiring an Account Executive to join their NYC-based team. This is a unique opportunity to join the ground floor of a high-growth startup that is transforming how law firms manage and utilize historical contract data using cutting-edge technologies like machine learning and language analytics.

As an Account Executive, you’ll play a key role in driving revenue growth by owning the full sales cycle—from lead generation and discovery to negotiation and closing. You’ll have the opportunity to sell directly to leadership teams of some of the most prestigious law firms in the world, including members of the Am Law 100, Vault 10, and Magic Circle.

This role is perfect for someone who is passionate about tech sales, has experience in B2B enterprise selling, and thrives in a high-impact, fast-paced startup environment.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify and target mid-to-large-sized law firms through referrals, events, outreach, and networking

  • Build and nurture long-term relationships with executive-level stakeholders such as firm partners and IT leaders

  • Lead discovery conversations to deeply understand client pain points and align solutions to their needs

  • Own and manage the entire sales cycle from first contact through negotiation and close

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with marketing, product, and customer success teams to ensure alignment and strong client satisfaction

  • Analyze market trends and competitor landscape to shape sales strategies

  • Maintain up-to-date CRM records, tracking activities, pipeline status, and performance metrics


Required Qualifications:

  • 3–5 years of B2B sales experience, ideally with exposure to legal tech or early-stage SaaS

  • Demonstrated success in closing complex deals, ranging from high five figures to mid six figures

  • Strong understanding of law firm structures and legal industry dynamics is a plus

  • Exceptional communication, presentation, and negotiation skills

  • Proficient in tools such as Salesforce, Salesloft, Gong, Apollo, and LinkedIn Sales Navigator

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with adaptability to thrive in a startup environment

  • Highly organized with strong analytical and relationship-building abilities


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base + OTE Compensation: $225000–$275000 per year (dependent on experience and performance)

  • Equity: Company stock options available
