The Account Executive is responsible for identifying and developing new opportunities for Lexis Nexis Reed Tech Life Sciences Services with prospective customers in the pharmaceutical industry, and for negotiating and closing deals. An Account Executive will collaborate with the product and marketing teams to increase the number of deals that Life Sciences wins, shorten the sales cycle and negotiate agreements that deliver value to customers.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Achieve defined 12-month new sales objective through a combination of telephone, web, e-mail, and some live activity
  • Identify potential new customers utilizing prospective selling techniques to expand customer base
  • Leverage strong new business prospecting, selling, negotiating and closing skills
  • Inform Life Sciences Management team of monthly sales trends and make recommendations when necessary for adjustments to tactical plans
  • Sell Reed Tech Life Sciences software and service solutions to existing customers and new prospects
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the Life Sciences service offerings as well as competitive products/services to articulate the benefits and advantages of Reed Tech’s solutions, and handle customer concerns or objections
  • Forecast and manage account/opportunity detail using internal sales tool
