Description:

BASF Corporation is seeking an Account Manager at our San Diego, CA location to develop Account Plans for Pharmaceutical and Biopharma Global Key Accounts and Pharmaceutical and Biopharma Regional Key Accounts, Relationship Mapping, Event Planning and Regular Quarterly Business Meeting and Technical meetings. Implement Go-to-Market Strategy, deepen Customer Relationships and achieve the Sales Goals: including execute BioPharma excipients strategy, implement CHO, Formulation, HEK, Cell & Gene Therapy campaigns, long term contracts, to achieve the sales targets; Accelerate expansion of BioPharma ingredients portfolio through customer partnerships: drive commercial, technical and sustainability activities; Execute Pharma excipients strategy: PVP, EO/PO, Coatings, Co-Processed, Parenteral, Oleochemicals product lines: drive commercial, technical and sustainability activities, to increase the sales; Execute Omega-3 strategy: drive commercial, technical and sustainability activities, to achieve the sales target; and Develop generic market by developing new relationship, growing the business across all the generic customer base located in the West Coast, to ensure the sales growth. Develop pipeline and accomplish targets for PVP, EO/PO, Coatings, Co-Processed, Parenteral, Oleochemicals and Biopharma platform to ensure the future business growth. Implement launch excellence program for new product launches. Provide technical support to Pharmaceutical and Biopharma customers as necessary depending the technical manager resources available at the time. Provide technical solutions to any challenge to the Pharmaceutical and Biopharma customers. Provide all Customer relationship documentation in CRM tool. Implement new modules for key virtual platforms and new digital tools. 80% domestic travel required. Telecommuting permitted.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

The position requires a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy or a related field plus eight (8) years of related experience. Four (4) years of experience must include the following: Pharmaceutical Industry in combination with Emerging, Generic & Innovation Markets; and Pharmaceutical and Biopharma Technical Service & Pharmaceutical and Biopharma Sales Account Management. Experience must also include the following: Biopharmaceutical Technical Service and Biopharmaceutical Sales Management; Pharma & BioPharma industry technical leadership and technology/product line application experience: including Bioprocessing excipients (Kolliphor P188 BIO, Kolliphor SLS/SDS), Poloxamers (Kolliphor P188, Kolliphor P407, Kolliphor P407 micro), Surfactants & Parenteral portfolio (Kolliphor HS15, Kolliphor ELP, Kolliphor PS20, Kolliphor PS80, Kolliphor SLS), Co-processed (Kollitab, Ludipress, Ludiflash) Coatings (Kollicoat MAE) PVP (Kollidon 12/17/25/30/90, Kollidon CL/CLM, Kollidon VA64/VA64 FINE), Omega-3 Ambassador (Maxomega EPA/DHA, K85EE); Steering implementation of the Bioprocessing excipients Strategy; Turning, developing and driving Pharmaceutical and Biopharma Global Accounts: including pricing strategy, inventory management, profitability goals, communication, motivation and coaching the account team members; Steering warehouse strategy: including executing inventory strategy in alignment with Supply Chain and Product Management based on historical sales & forecast; and CRM System. 80% domestic travel required.
