Account Manager

 

Description:

The Account Manager is an essential role within The 199. They act as the bridge between the divisional business partners and the agency. They are responsible for ensuring that the agency is meeting its customer needs, working with all the key functions that go into creating the agency’s output. They are constantly solving problems, managing internal and external communications, and driving projects to completion.

Key Responsibilities
 

  • Responsible for quality, service, and cost within the assigned line of business across the following creative/marketing activities:
  • Tier 2 high – medium creative marketing campaigns/projects
  • Support for initiatives across Tier 1 & 2 complexity creative projects (where required)
     

Additional Responsibilities
 

  • Managing the division/business partner relationship through effective communication, problem solving, and responding to requests
  • Taking client communication briefs and creating actionable and insightful agency assignment briefs - where required, supporting the Business Lead with drafting creative briefs.
  • Owning the agencies internal forecasting and planning processes to predict and project future workload
  • Ensuring that project deadlines and budgets are met, communicating, and seeking approval of any change requests, scope and/or timing change.
  • Identifying ways to elevate our creative product, output and provide value-add to the division above and beyond the day-to-day
  • Using data to keep the team and the client up to date with useful knowledge, trends within their divisional expertise area
  • Maintaining accurate records of meetings, decisions, and next actions.
  • Working with Finance to limit write offs, bill client accurately, chase unpaid invoices, do
     

reconciliations e.g., for reporting purposes
 

  • Upkeep of Workfront campaign management tool for all project related requirements
  • Engaging in understanding the work and capacity of team members to provide support where required e.g., Project Manager

  • Expertise in client and project management
  • Sound understanding of the creative process with marketing literacy

Minimum And Preferred Education
 

  • A degree in Marketing/or a business-related degree; or equivalent work experience
     

Minimum And Preferred Experience/Skills
 

  • 3+ years’ experience of working in large/matrix organizations, balancing multiple stakeholder requirements, preferably within a creative environment
  • Exceptional stakeholder management and relationship development skills
  • Experience in controlling and managing budgets
  • Possesses a global outlook and the ability to self-start
  • 3+ years’ experience in marketing/creative services in a corporate environment
  • Adept in Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office Tools
