Description:

Data Axle is seeking a motivated Account Manager to join their Enterprise Division. The role focuses on retaining existing customers and generating revenue through both consultative selling and outstanding customer service. The Account Manager will be responsible for building and cultivating strong customer relationships, executing sales activities, and driving business growth. This position also requires effective communication and the ability to manage multiple customer accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Retain existing customers while developing strong, long-lasting relationships with them at multiple levels.

  • Sales Activities: Execute sales activities for a target list of high-potential existing customers. This includes renewals, upgrades, and addressing customer-specific needs.

  • Account Planning: Develop and implement comprehensive account plans that outline sales strategies and tactics tailored to customer needs.

  • Customer Solutions: Qualify customer needs, develop customized solutions, and work collaboratively with customers to address specific business challenges.

  • Value Communication: Effectively communicate the value proposition of Data Axle's products and services to existing customers.

  • Sales Forecasting & Tracking: Use CRM systems to track sales revenues, activities, and other relevant data. Maintain a detailed record of sales progress and client interactions.

  • Customer Advocacy: Act as an advocate for customers throughout the entire sales and solution delivery process.

  • Market Awareness: Stay current with market developments, competitive offerings, and technological advances.

  • Travel: Attend trade shows, client meetings, or other business engagements as needed.

  • Urgency & Achievement: A strong sense of urgency and a proven track record of overachievement in sales.

  • Technology Savvy: Comfort in a fast-paced, technology-driven environment with the ability to synthesize data quickly.

  • Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with using CRM systems and a sound understanding of technical solutions.

  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate professionally at all levels of the organization.

  • Negotiation & Closing: Outstanding skills in negotiating and closing deals.

  • Trust & Relationship Building: Strong ability to build trust with customers and colleagues.

  • Independence: Capable of making independent decisions regarding business operations.

  • Travel Availability: Willingness to travel as needed.

Education, Experience, and Certification:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent is required.

  • Experience: 3 to 5 years of experience in high-value, business-to-business, solution sales.

  • Professional Training: Experience with selling and account planning processes is preferred.
