Account Manager

 

Description:

This role is part of the global sales team at Vestas Aircoil Group, a Danish-rooted company specializing in heat exchanger technology. As an Account Manager, you will be the key person responsible for building and maintaining relationships with key customers in Illinois and Indiana, ensuring that everything from quoting to delivery runs smoothly. Your role is integral to managing these accounts and seeking opportunities for growth and improvement.

Responsibilities:

  • Customer Relationship Management: Get to know your customers deeply— their products, people, goals, and pain points.

  • Stakeholder Communication: Initiate and maintain contact with stakeholders involved in design, shipping, quality, invoicing, and delivery.

  • On-site Visits: Frequent visits in Illinois/Indiana and virtual meetings to ensure smooth coordination and alignment.

  • Coordination: Ensure agreements, pricing, and timelines are aligned with customer expectations.

  • Growth Identification: Spot and capitalize on opportunities to expand business with existing accounts.

  • Tracking & Reporting: Keep track of forecasts, feedback, and performance in a structured way to drive improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Educational Requirements: Degree in Engineering or related technical field.

  • Experience: 3-5 years in an industrial setting with customer-facing roles.

  • Skills: Strong communication and relationship-building skills. Eagerness to learn the business side of things and build trust.

  • Location Requirements: Based in Illinois or Indiana, open to travel (regional and occasional global).

  • Preferred: Previous experience with customer-facing roles in technical or industrial sales.
