Description:

Xcel Energy is seeking a driven and client-focused Account Manager to manage relationships with assigned commercial and industrial customers. The role emphasizes customer satisfaction, demand-side management, and collaborative planning to deliver tailored energy solutions.

As an Account Manager, you’ll be responsible for managing a diverse territory and developing strategic account plans. The successful candidate will address all inquiries related to billing, operations, energy rates, and products, ensuring a seamless and responsive client experience.

This role offers opportunities to lead and participate in energy service agreements, equipment leasing, and special promotions, making it ideal for someone eager to contribute strategically to energy solution offerings.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement a comprehensive territory and communication management strategy

  • Identify key decision-makers and influencers in assigned customer accounts

  • Plan and execute delivery of demand-side management programs

  • Respond to customer inquiries across billing, product, and service categories

  • Lead and support energy-related projects including contract negotiations

  • Engage in local account management and represent Xcel Energy at community events and associations


Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent work experience

  • 3–5 years of proven success in sales or marketing

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualification:

  • Certified Energy Manager (CEM) certification
