We're looking for a Accountant to join our awesome team in the Finance department.

About the Role
The Accountant will support the Finance Director. They will be required to reconcile the LEGOLAND Vacations New York entity and proficient at month end reporting, establishing key processes and maintaining balance sheet reconciliations.

Responsibilities:

  • Monthly P&L reviews with the Finance Hub to ensure reporting is robust
  • Month end close processes ensuring all entries are generated and posted timely and accurately to achieve the month end reporting deadlines
  • Financial statements, management reporting and ad-hoc reporting requirements at the Hotel and LLV Level
  • Produce reconciliations to support the payment of, and accounting for third party hotels
  • Assist business operations with the management of internal controls as outlined by group policies and financial reporting standards
  • Review the work from the Night Auditor to ensure completeness and assist with resolving outstanding issues
  • Preparation and management of financial reports, forecasts and budgeting
  • Direct Billing and Guest Folios in Opera. Setting up Customers for Direct Billing
  • Local Super User for ISO Pacific – hotel booking system
  • Oversees daily reconciliations of both cash and credit card payments to ensure they have been completed and reviewed
  • Liaise with Tax Consultants to provide all documents required for tax reporting
  • Communicate financial information at the appropriate stakeholder level
  • Act as a finance liaison to build and maintain partnerships, whilst developing strong networks across areas of responsibility
  • Communicate with management and finance personnel in meeting tasks assigned
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial information as it relates to the organization
  • Other ad hoc tasks as required

About You

  • Qualified CPA or CMA
  • Minimum of three to five years of professional-level experience in accounting
  • Must have sound knowledge of accounting principles and reconciliation work
  • Detail oriented, self-motivated and organized
  • Good research, quantitative, and analytical skills
  • Good communication and presentation skills – verbal and oral
  • Ability to prioritize task, multitask, and work in a fast-paced environment
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Data analytics and good IT skills – Excel and PowerPoint
  • Bachelor’s degree in business and/or finance preferrable

You may be required to pass certain assessment tests to be hired for this position
