Accounting Analyst Iv

Description:

This position will be a part of a team responsible for providing accounting support and performing financial analysis for the interconnect business function. This position effectively communicates across the many groups that are a part of this process and also assists in developing and formulating recommendations based on analyses and operational knowledge. The incumbent will have the unique opportunity to learn the inner-workings of the interconnection process while also being a resource to its leaders.

Typical Functions:

• Reconcile account balances and perform research and analysis on interconnect related accounts
• Support financial transactions and create journal entries including construction and study cost allocations and liability clearing
• Participate in process improvement and automation efforts
• Support multiple jurisdictions interconnection/upgrade plans for Transmission
• Support preparation of financial presentations for management review and decision making
• Serve as a subject matter expert providing guidance and assistance for questions and problems related to interconnection accounting and finances and related processes
• Maintain proper business and financial processes to ensure adherence to internal controls
