Accounts Payable Specialist

We’re currently seeking an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist who can work independently, manage a high volume of transactions, and bring a sharp eye for detail—no micromanagement needed.

Key Responsibilities:

• Accurately process invoices in QuickBooks
• Match invoices to Purchase Orders and verify receiving is completed in the system
• Manage vendor accounts and maintain strong communication to resolve issues
• Perform job costing for construction-related projects and track expenses by job
• Reconcile accounts payable transactions and assist with month-end close
• Maintain organized and audit-ready records
• Collaborate with project managers and the accounting team to ensure accurate costs and cost allocations

Requirements:

• Minimum 4 years of accounts payable experience
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks
• Experience with job costing, particularly in a construction or project-based environment, is a strong plus
• Experience with receiving procedures and matching invoices to purchase orders
• Familiarity with electrical material purchases is a plus
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
• Strong organizational and communication skills
