The Role at a Glance
This position will perform and deliver on routine assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying actuarial knowledge. You will perform actuarial analysis and calculations in Group Pricing.
What you'll be doing
- Finds and implements ways to enhance models and processes to generate greater accuracy and efficiency.
- Identifies and communicates to management process improvements that reduce workloads or improve quality for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Identifies risk issues and uses effective model control and documentation processes.
- Maintains knowledge on current and emerging developments/trends for assigned area(s) of responsibility, assesses the impact, and collaborates with management to incorporate new trends and developments in current and future solutions.
- Performs and delivers on routine assignments/projects while simultaneously leveraging and applying knowledge of their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Performs data analysis and calculations for consistency and reasonableness to support broader actuarial deliverables for their assigned area(s) of responsibility.
- Promotes and enhances organizational initiatives by positively influencing and supporting change management and/or departmental/enterprise initiatives within assigned area(s) of responsibility.
What we're looking for
- 4 Year/Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, or other quantitative major (Minimum Required)
- 1 - 3+ Years of experience in actuarial science that directly aligns with the specific responsibilities for this position (Required)
- Upon Hire Certifications/Licensures: (3-6 Actuarial Exams passed.)
