Job Description: The Department of Sociology at Manhattan College seeks part-time, adjunct instructors for sociology courses in the following areas: Introduction to Sociology, Criminology, Social Service, Geography, Cultural Anthropology, Family Law, Qualitative and Quantitative Methods, Race and Resistance/Critical Race Theory, Gender/Feminist Theory, Decolonial Studies, and Queer Studies.

Responsibilities:

• The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate students at all levels and in disciplines of Sociology. Creative approaches to critical pedagogy and a dedication to equitable undergraduate liberal arts education is desired.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Masters or Ph.D. (preferred) in Sociology (or related field).
• At least one year of teaching experience.
