(Description) Aerospace manufacturing company focused in Aero-Defense division located in Bellevue, WA is looking for an experience Business Development and Marketing Professional responsible for capture management and customer interface for current/future business opportunities, supporting the company’s strategic growth objectives through sales and service of Aerospace & Aero-Defense products in North America. The Director will report to EVP head of Bellevue office and will lead a cross-functional team to seek out and win orders, meeting or exceeding assigned sales targets with the support of management. Expected travel is around 20%, primarily in NA. (Responsibilities)
- Work closely with project customers, cross-functional teams, management and assigned personnel to plan and develop scope, deliverables, required resources, work plan, budget, and timing for proposal development efforts.
- Attend trade shows, conferences, and other events to best understand end-user needs, develop relationships, and provide information about company products and services
- Develop and mature professional relationships with potential customers from the Aerospace and Aero-Defense related companies, suppliers, and industry.
- Work with other Business Units to identify risks and opportunities across multiple projects and customers and help nourish the customers within assigned responsibilities. (Employee Value Proposition)

- Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred
- 5-10 years of relevant experience within Aerospace, Auto, or Manufacturing environment
- Experience creating and presenting Market Data for presentations
- Experience planning and executing Expos and Campaigns
- Must be competent in engineering/technologies necessary to perform the required work and to be able to understand technical papers and discussions
- Working technical knowledge in Aerospace & Aero-Defense products in general and aerostructures, Aircraft interior components and systems in particular
- 5+ years’ experience in capturing new business in those related products
- Ability to work independently as well as work with and lead a team of individuals across functional areas to success, as well as being able to work with the company’s Business Units in NA and overseas
- Exceptional leadership, time management, facilitation, and organizational skills; understand and implement Risk Management principles, and able to communicate effectively with current and with new customers (Nice to Haves)

- Experience in Export Control, ITAR and FAR/DFAR
- Able to grow/seed requirements at the end user level to develop new opportunities through
- Proven track record of successful contract wins and documented business growth through proposal development activities
- Experience in M&A in NA is a Plus
- Military experience in Aero-Defense and/or with one of the larger OEMs is a plus
- Strong influencing skills and ability to build alliances (Disqualifiers)
- Candidates not local to Seattle / Bellevue, WA as this position will be going onsite in a hybrid schedule in Bellevue, WA office
- No relevant industry experience within Aerospace, Auto, Manufacturing...etc.
