Description:
Sun Valley Search, a specialist recruiting firm with 28 years of experience in engineered rotating equipment, is partnering with a leading pump aftermarket services company to hire an experienced Aftermarket Sales professional in the Greater Chicago Area. This role offers a fully remote working arrangement while covering accounts within the power industry and related markets.
The primary responsibility of the Account Manager – Aftermarket Sales is to drive revenue by expanding business with existing accounts and strategically developing new client relationships. The role focuses on selling a wide range of aftermarket services for highly engineered pumps, including:
Repairs and rerates
Upgrades and retrofits
Field service solutions
Spare parts and consumables
Key Responsibilities:
Grow penetration within current accounts by identifying new opportunities.
Research and engage with new clients in target markets, particularly in the power industry.
Act as a consultative partner to customers, ensuring their aftermarket service needs are fully met.
Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to deliver tailored solutions.
Consistently meet or exceed sales targets through proactive account management and business development.
Candidate Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience with engineered pumps and aftermarket sales.
Strong technical background in rotating equipment such as pumps, compressors, turbines, seals, bearings, or couplings.
Engineering degree preferred, though relevant industry experience will be strongly considered.
Proven track record of achieving sales goals and driving new business.
Willingness to travel as required to meet clients.
A “hunter” mindset with strong initiative, persistence, and customer focus.
