We’re seeking a passionate and forward-thinking AI Engineering Intern to help design and develop agentic AI solutions that can serve as virtual support agents and navigators for breast cancer patients and caregivers. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of health tech, artificial intelligence, and social impact.

 

You’ll collaborate with our leadership and design teams to prototype, test, and integrate AI agents into our existing digital infrastructure. Ideal candidates are not only technically skilled but also mission-driven and curious about the role AI can play in enhancing empathy, care, and accessibility in healthcare.

 

What You’ll Do

Design, develop, and deploy AI agents to support breast cancer patients and caregivers (e.g., chatbots, voice assistants, scheduling tools, etc.)

Integrate AI agents into existing platforms (web, email, calendar, SMS, etc.)

Leverage APIs, LLMs, and open-source tools to enhance agent functionality and responsiveness

Collaborate with leadership to understand user needs, workflows, and ethical boundaries in patient-facing AI

Stay up-to-date with emerging AI and tech trends (e.g., LangChain, ReAct, RAG, autonomous agents, synthetic voices)

Identify and recommend systems integrations and improvements

Participate in weekly strategy sessions and provide technical progress updates

 

What You Bring

Strong experience in programming (Python preferred), scripting, and working with APIs

Familiarity with large language models (OpenAI, Anthropic, etc.) and frameworks like LangChain, AutoGPT, or similar

Knowledge of agentic AI, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), or memory-driven models

Understanding of cloud computing (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and deployment tools (e.g., Docker, GitHub Actions)

Ability to translate complex technical concepts into practical, ethical solutions for real-world users

Creative, self-driven, and capable of working independently

A passion for leveraging AI to improve lives and solve meaningful problems
