Get your hard hat ready. We are not just renovating the travel experience – we are renovating our physical spaces too. And our Corporate Real Estate team is on the front lines of procuring, designing, and developing spaces at all our hubs, stations, and city locations across the world. From airport affairs and business services to planning and development, this team is responsible for all our leases and major construction and renovation projects, system wide.

Key Responsibilities:

Implements lease negotiation strategy and manages primary relationship with airports, airlines, governments and other key stakeholders regarding management and implementation of lease terms in a portfolio of out stations.

  • Implements negotiation strategies and participates in all negotiations with airlines, airports, governments, A4A and other NGOs at larger more strategic hubs to achieve objectives
  • Must demonstrate leadership to team and industry to maintain credibility necessary for success
  • Directs the development and administration of processes to support key strategic airport related projects, including business case development, planning and negotiation
  • Actively provides support in exception management, conflict resolution and strategic alignment
  • Develops, recommends, and manages budgets and policies regarding real estate utilization
  • Takes actions to further these policies and coordinates and obtains the support of relevant corporate organizations
  • Must demonstrate creative solutions and appropriate risk management to achieve corporate objectives
  • Recognizes and addresses issues both proactively and reactively, develops solutions, and drives consensus and internal communication
  • Position located on-site in Chicago
  • 25% to 50% travel required

Qualifications

What is needed to succeed (Minimum Qualifications):

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Real Estate or Business or similar
  • 12+ years of commercial real estate experience or contract negotiation experience
  • Strong negotiation skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong presentation and analytical skills
  • Able to collaborate with and influence internal and external stakeholders
  • Able to balance various corporate objectives
  • Reliable, punctual attendance is an essential function of the position
