Description:
The Analyst - Inventory Performance is responsible for the strategic productivity and tactical execution of United Airlines' provisioning inventory. This includes active project management, inventory planning, and improving operational reliability by analyzing data and identifying trends. The role aims to minimize out-of-stock events and ensure the on-time delivery of materials by vendors and suppliers.
Key responsibilities include developing tools for managing inventory, monitoring supplier performance, and supporting product transitions for new launches. The Analyst will work closely with different business groups at United Airlines to understand their needs and provide actionable insights for long- and short-term forecasting. This role also involves the development of inventory requirements for new fleet growth and continuous improvement of processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee inventory performance through active project management and inventory planning.
Analyze data and trends to improve operational reliability and minimize disruptions.
Develop tools for managing inventory and monitor supplier execution to ensure on-time material delivery.
Support product transition timelines and ensure the seamless launch of new products.
Extract and analyze data to identify issues, perform root cause analysis, and provide insights to decision-makers.
Monitor performance against plans and interface with business groups for understanding organizational needs.
Provide insights for forecasting and budgetary planning.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in a quantitative field (Math, Statistics, Operations Research, Engineering, Business, Aviation management, or Supply Chain Management).
Minimum 1 year of experience in Analytics, Supply Chain, Airline, or Manufacturing Industry.
Strong communication, writing, and people skills.
Experience in continuous improvement and task prioritization.
Ability to analyze complex data and identify patterns.
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage workloads effectively.
Preferred Qualifications:
Knowledge of querying relational databases (Teradata SQL, Oracle SQL, MySQL, Microsoft SQL).
Proven analytical and quantitative skills for data analysis and root cause analysis.
