Somnia Anesthesia is currently seeking a dedicated and highly skilled Anesthesiologist to join the team at St. Bernardine Medical Center in San Bernardino, California. This role offers the opportunity to practice in a well-established, nonprofit, acute care hospital renowned for its top-tier cardiac services and collaborative environment. The position is open to both experienced practitioners and recent graduates looking to launch their anesthesiology careers in a supportive and professional setting.

As an independent contractor under a 1099 arrangement, the anesthesiologist will enjoy flexibility in scheduling, competitive compensation, and a broad scope of clinical exposure. St. Bernardine Medical Center, a 342-bed facility serving the Inland Empire since 1928, boasts a national reputation through its Inland Empire Heart & Vascular Institute and remains a central part of California’s largest healthcare system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver anesthesia care for a wide range of bread-and-butter surgical procedures, including gastrointestinal, gynecological, and general surgeries.

• Provide patient-focused anesthesia services in 3 fully functional operating rooms.

• Work a standard 55-hour week, with options for 10-, 12-, or 14-hour shifts based on coverage needs.

• Collaborate closely with a supportive and highly professional team of surgical and medical staff to ensure quality patient outcomes.

Qualifications:

• Medical degree with active California state medical license and DEA registration.

• Board certified or board eligible in Anesthesiology (applicants in the certification process are welcome).

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) and PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) certifications required.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, along with a commitment to providing excellent patient care.

Compensation & Structure:

• Hourly Rate: $250/hour

• Weekly Hours: Approx. 55 hours/week

• Monthly Estimate: ~$55000/month

• Employment Type: 1099 Independent Contractor

• Shift Flexibility: 10, 12, or 14-hour options available
