Guthrie is seeking a highly skilled Neuro Anesthesiologist to join their team at Guthrie Robert Packer Hospital in Sayre, PA. This role provides an opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility with 18 advanced operating rooms and a robust anesthesia department managing OR schedules. The position involves teaching and mentoring residents and medical students while delivering exceptional patient care in neuro-anesthesia cases.

The Neuro Anesthesiologist will participate in clinical, administrative, and teaching activities. The role includes a minimal administrative workload (0.1 FTE), allowing primary focus on high-quality patient care and education. The ideal candidate will have strong clinical expertise, leadership abilities, and a collaborative mindset to thrive in an academic healthcare environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide anesthesiology services for neurological surgical cases.

• Lead and mentor residents and medical students during clinical rotations.

• Manage and optimize OR schedules for efficiency and patient safety.

• Participate in teaching and professional development programs.

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high-quality care.

• Maintain thorough and accurate documentation in accordance with hospital and regulatory standards.

Qualifications:

• Completion of an Anesthesiology Residency Program.

• Eligible for licensure in Pennsylvania and ability to obtain DEA certification.

• Experience in neuro-anesthesiology preferred.

• Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and teamwork abilities.

• Ability to work flexible hours, including possible on-call duties.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Base Salary: $525,000 – $575,000 per year

• $25,000 starting bonus; $25,000 retention bonus annually for 3 years
