Application Engineer

Description:

Thrivent is seeking an Application Engineer to support their Asset Management team, creating and maintaining software applications that meet business needs. This position will involve working on business applications, including proprietary and vendor applications, with tasks such as enhancement and development, system upgrades, routine maintenance, and 24x7 support. The role requires working collaboratively with cross-functional teams, following agile methodologies, and ensuring the integration and functionality of application components.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide support for business applications, including new development, system upgrades, and routine maintenance.

• Participate in on-call rotation to provide 24x7 support for existing systems.

• Collaborate with other engineers and business resources to identify, verify, and document technical features.

• Work with architects and engineers to ensure the proper function of application components and to address any change management issues.

• Develop, integrate, test, debug, and document application components using a variety of technologies.

• Install application components by following procedures to ensure successful system implementation.

• Mentor other engineers to foster skill development and knowledge sharing.

Job Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Business, Mathematics, or related field.

• 3+ years of technical experience in development, including knowledge of development languages, tools, and structures.

• Experience with vendor package implementation and integration.

• Business knowledge in the supported area.

• Strong critical thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.

Pay Transparency:

• Salary range: $83,934.00 - $113,559.00 per year.
