Area Sales Manager

 

Description:

This role blends account management with strategic growth initiatives, leveraging the manager’s industry knowledge and existing network to identify new opportunities, increase revenue, and elevate customer satisfaction. Core responsibilities include tracking and expanding regional accounts, acting as the lead customer contact, supporting order entry, and developing recommended volume orders and incentive programs based on purchase history. The Area Sales Manager operates from an AWG office or home office and is expected to be highly self-motivated, organized, and results-driven.

 

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow client relationships within an assigned region.
  • Make regular visits to customer locations for training, merchandising, and relationship-building.
  • Serve as the primary customer contact for all matters related to product sales, support, and service.
  • Leverage product knowledge to educate customers and support proper fitment of wheels, tires, and accessories.
  • Identify new sales opportunities, upsell existing customers, and collaborate with business development to grow key accounts.
  • Generate suggested stocking orders and volume recommendations based on order history.
  • Support order entry, ensure processing accuracy, and track customer accounts through CRM tools.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to align client deliverables with business goals.
  • Attend trade shows, events, and customer demos to generate leads and strengthen brand presence.
  • Monitor account performance, track KPIs, generate weekly reports, and recommend improvements.
  • Work with customers to manage credit limits and assist with AR collections.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of B2B sales or account management experience.
  • Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships and territory-based sales.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office and CRM software.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Experience in the automotive aftermarket, especially in wheels and tires.
