Our Digital & Insights (D&I) practice seeks a talented, versatile Art Director with 6 years of experience to join the team in our New York, Chicago or Washington, D.C. office. We're looking for a creative storyteller that can collaborate, lead and inspire others to find new solutions for our clients. In this role you will define creative direction for integrated campaigns and work across a variety of media. The ideal candidate should feel comfortable and confident sharing their creative knowledge with those around them and should operate within a growth mindset. This person will be a pivotal role in the development and growth in the creative team and has the ability to make a big impact.

  • Lead creative strategy and art direction for compelling and engaging creative content for a wide range of clients across various industries
  • Develop information architecture and user experience for websites of all sizes
  • Transform text heavy content in to clear and easy to understand visual designs
  • Stay up to date on latest creative and design trends to leverage in client work
  • Conduct audits of clients and competitors to determine best creative recommendations
  • Provide direction to and mentor junior designers
  • Collaborate with team members of different skill sets and backgrounds
  • Contribute to and lead creative brainstorms
  • Work with internal teams and clients to understand project objectives and develop project plans
  • Oversee project progress and ensure deliverables are delivered on time and meet client expectations
  • Articulate and present your ideas to internal and external stakeholders
  • Work with internal subject matter experts and clients to understand project objectives and develop project plans
  • Lead creative strategy for new business proposals and pitches
  • Exercise a keen eye for quality and exceptional attention to detail
  • Design assets for clients as needed
  • Help clients identify and escalate risks in order to act and communicate with integrity
  • Understand and live by FTI's values, Code of Ethics and the Strategic Communications Rules of Practice, and work with junior staff to embed these concepts within the firm's culture.   • designing for web/mobile, print and other digital platforms, preferably at a communications agency, digital agency, or consulting firm
  • Degree in Graphic Design, Fine Arts, or related concentration
  • Experience managing junior designers
  • Portfolio that demonstrates mastery of the creative process and integrated communications, including web, digital, video and print applications
  • Strong command of design principles, UI/UX and web design best practices
  • Organizational and prioritization skills that lend themselves to project management
  • Ability to self-motivate and motivate others to find creative solutions under tight deadlines
  • Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, etc.)
  • Experience in web design software (Sketch, Adobe XD, etc.)
  • Ability to take feedback and constructive criticism and apply to client deliverables
  • Knowledge of CMS, HTML and CSS processes and best practices a plus
  • Previous experience working on ESG or sustainability projects a plus
  • Travel required to clients and to FTI office(s)
