Description:
We are seeking a Machine Learning (ML) Vision Engineer to join our team and contribute to a cutting-edge Optical Character Recognition (OCR) project that powers real-time, large-scale image-based transaction processing.
🔑 Key Responsibilities:
Design & optimize ML-based computer vision components (object detection, image classification, OCR pipelines).
Develop production-ready Python code using strong OOD principles.
Work with image processing frameworks (OpenCV, Pillow) and ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
Build and optimize OCR models (Tesseract, PaddleOCR, EasyOCR, or custom).
Integrate ML components into distributed, message-driven architectures.
Ensure scalability, maintainability & adaptability of solutions.
Collaborate with architects, API, database, and DevOps teams for deployment & testing.
Deliver complete documentation, designs, test plans, and reports per PTC standards.
🎓 Required Skills & Experience:
Strong Python and software engineering fundamentals (OOP, design patterns, clean code).
Proven expertise in image processing & computer vision.
Hands-on experience with PyTorch/TensorFlow.
Solid background in OCR technologies.
Familiarity with object detection models (YOLO, Faster R-CNN, SSD, etc.).
Strong understanding of evaluation metrics for vision tasks.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 suite & ADO Testing Module.
✅ Desired Skills:
Enterprise Business Solutions (e.g., SAP projects).
ITIL / ITSM practices.
Experience working in multi-module distributed environments.
Strong communication & innovative thinking.
📅 Candidate must be open to post go-live onsite support (rotational 1–2 week duty at Middletown, PA).
