Panda Restaurant Group, the largest family-owned American Chinese restaurant concept in the U.S. with over 2,300 locations worldwide, is seeking an Assistant Manager for its San Diego, CA location. As an Assistant Manager, you will support the daily operations of a single store, ensuring the delivery of outstanding guest experiences while meeting financial and performance goals. This role requires strong leadership, team management, and the ability to thrive in a high-volume, fast-paced restaurant environment. Panda will provide a comprehensive leadership training program (3+ weeks), mentorship, and continuous development opportunities to prepare you for success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in managing the overall store operations, including staffing, training, scheduling, and performance management.

• Supervise, coach, and develop associates to achieve team goals and deliver exceptional guest service.

• Ensure compliance with food safety standards and company policies.

• Support financial performance by managing budgets, controlling costs, and driving profitability.

• Oversee daily food preparation, kitchen operations, and front-of-house service quality.

• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment for both staff and guests.

• Handle conflict resolution, guest concerns, and operational challenges effectively.

Desired Skills & Qualifications:

• High school diploma required.

• Serve Safe food safety certification required.

• Prior leadership or supervisory experience in food service or retail strongly preferred.

• Flexibility to work varied schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

• Ability to work within a 50-mile radius if required.

• Strong communication, problem-solving, and conflict management skills.

• Physical ability to stand for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs., and work in hot, noisy kitchen environments.

Compensation & Benefits:

• Competitive hourly pay: 28 – 31 USD/hour (≈ 4480 – 4960 USD/month).
