Description:
TD seeks a Product Owner I to lead the creation of customer-focused product increments within an Agile delivery model. This role is responsible for managing product backlog priorities, partnering with senior management on product vision, ensuring alignment with delivery roadmaps, and guiding one or more development pods. The Product Owner works autonomously, provides SME-level insight, and drives continuous improvement in both product value and delivery processes.
Partner with senior leadership to support product vision and roadmap alignment.
Interpret business challenges and recommend best practices to enhance products and processes.
Lead Quarterly Business Review submissions and performance tracking.
Create and maintain a value-driven product backlog; prioritize user stories for maximal customer value.
Oversee user story development, acceptance criteria, and Definition of Done.
Manage delivery initiatives and potentially multiple pod backlogs.
Handle defect management, prioritization, and blocker removal.
Review product analytics to enhance customer experience.
Collaborate with business partners to ensure readiness for product changes and Day 2 processes.
Communicate product changes, priorities, and delivery risks to business and technology stakeholders.
Participate in Scrum/Kanban ceremonies; suggest improvements for value delivery.
Work cohesively with Scrum Master to reinforce Agile principles.
Provide coaching, mentorship, and support to team members.
Align with enterprise risk, quality, compliance, and regulatory requirements.
Escalate complex or high-risk activities when needed.
Monitor regulatory changes and adjust product strategy accordingly.
Undergraduate degree or equivalent; product certification preferred.
7+ years relevant experience, including 3–5 years as a Product Owner or in Agile delivery roles.
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or project management certification (asset).
Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) experience or certification (asset).
Ability to solve complex problems, communicate difficult concepts, and influence cross-functional stakeholders.
Strong understanding of Agile/Scrum roles, processes, and product development life cycle.
Strong analytical thinking and judgment.
Excellent communication and stakeholder negotiation skills.
Ability to work autonomously and lead others.

Collaborative mindset with ability to integrate across teams and functions.
On-site role in New York, NY.
Occasional domestic travel; no international travel.
Frequent sedentary work and multitasking.
