The Department of Pediatrics at the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW), in partnership with Children’s Wisconsin (CW), is seeking a highly qualified and dedicated Assistant Professor – Pediatric Pulmonologist to join its expanding Pediatric Pulmonary Section in Northeast Wisconsin. This is a unique and prestigious opportunity to contribute to world-class academic medicine while improving access to pediatric pulmonary care for children and families across Wisconsin and the Upper Peninsula of Michigan.
This position is part of the innovative Connected for Kids collaboration between Children’s Wisconsin, Bellin Health, and ThedaCare. The collaboration integrates outstanding pediatric specialty care with community-based health systems, enabling physicians to provide seamless, high-quality care that enhances patient outcomes and family well-being.
As a Pediatric Pulmonologist, you will join a nationally and internationally recognized faculty group committed to excellence in clinical care, teaching, and research. The role provides the opportunity to collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams, engage in cutting-edge academic work, and contribute to the growth of pediatric subspecialty services in the region.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide expert clinical care in pediatric pulmonology, including diagnosis, management, and treatment of respiratory conditions in children and adolescents.
Collaborate with community health systems (Children’s Wisconsin, Bellin Health, and ThedaCare) to expand pulmonary services and improve access to pediatric subspecialty care in Northeast Wisconsin.
Actively participate in medical education, mentoring medical students, residents, and fellows.
Engage in academic scholarship and research activities in alignment with MCW’s mission to advance medical knowledge.
Support patient care expansion within pediatric hospitals, specialty clinics, and future healthcare projects such as the Green Bay Pediatric & Adolescent Specialty Clinic (opening August 2025) and the planned Level III NICU at Bellin Hospital.
Qualifications:
MD, DO, or equivalent medical degree.
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Pulmonology.
Eligible for unrestricted Wisconsin state medical licensure.
Strong commitment to academic medicine, clinical excellence, and collaborative care.
