Gordon Contractors, Inc., a reputed name in the construction industry serving the DMV area, is actively seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support its growing portfolio of high-profile construction projects. The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with a senior Project Manager to gain exposure to all facets of project lifecycle management, from initiation to completion. The position is designed as a stepping stone to a full-fledged project management role within 1 to 3 years, depending on performance. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on some of the most visible construction projects in the Washington, DC metropolitan area, gaining deep insights into real-world execution, stakeholder coordination, cost tracking, and document management.
Key Responsibilities:
Organize, manage, and maintain comprehensive project documentation to ensure compliance and accessibility.
Prepare and submit product submittals for approval by relevant stakeholders and design teams.
Draft and submit RFIs (Requests for Information) to resolve discrepancies or gather additional details from architects, engineers, or other consultants.
Analyze design changes to evaluate their cost implications and ensure budget compliance.
Monitor and track project costs, including forecasting the remaining budget requirements to support accurate financial reporting.
Maintain clear and proactive communication with all stakeholders, ensuring they are informed of progress, milestones, and potential challenges.

A bachelor’s degree is required; candidates with degrees in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) fields will be given preference.
