Assistant Store Manager

Description:

Lids, the largest licensed sports retailer in North America, is seeking an Assistant Store Manager PT in Minot, ND. This role supports store operations, drives sales performance, and ensures an excellent customer experience. The Assistant Store Manager assists in supervising associates, maintaining store standards, and implementing company policies to achieve business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

• Drive sales growth by providing excellent customer service.

• Monitor and provide feedback on associate performance to meet company objectives.

• Maintain visual merchandising standards, store cleanliness, and adherence to the dress code policy.

• Control store expenses, protect assets, and manage inventory accurately.

• Prepare store schedules and ensure proper coverage while following company guidelines for wage control.

• Open and close the store as required, following company procedures.

• Participate in recruiting, training, and mentoring store personnel.

• Ensure compliance with all Lids policies, procedures, and safety standards.

• Perform work of subordinates when needed and communicate effectively with all levels of employees.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent; one year of relevant experience.

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

• Ability to operate computers and relevant software programs.

• Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds, climb ladders, work with hands overhead, and stand for long periods.

• Self-motivated and able to work unsupervised.

• Up to 25% above local minimum wage based on experience.
