Meagher + Geer, P.L.L.P. is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its fast-paced and growing family law practice in Minneapolis. This opportunity is well suited for an attorney who brings sound judgment, strong written advocacy, and a commitment to responsive, high-quality client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent clients in family law matters through multiple stages of litigation.
- Conduct legal research and prepare pleadings, motions, briefs, correspondence, and other legal documents.
- Analyze complex factual and legal issues and develop practical case strategies.
- Communicate clearly and professionally with clients, opposing counsel, court personnel, and colleagues.
- Manage deadlines and competing priorities in a collaborative, fast-paced practice.
Qualifications
- One to three years of family law experience.
- Admission to the Minnesota Bar and authorization to practice in Minnesota.
- Excellent legal writing, critical-thinking, analytical, and communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Demonstrated commitment to client service and professional excellence.
- Judicial clerkship experience—particularly in Minnesota state court supporting judicial officers who handle family law matters—is valued and encouraged.
