Description:
EY’s Brand, Marketing and Communications (BMC) team is looking for a Public Relations Lead – Tax at Associate Director level to shape and execute PR initiatives that enhance EY’s reputation in the Americas Tax Practice. This role involves being the first point of contact for media, managing proactive and reactive outreach, promoting thought leadership, and ensuring EY’s presence in high-profile media channels. You will collaborate closely with senior leadership and global communications teams to align messaging with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with Americas Tax senior leadership to develop PR strategies aligned with business objectives.
Build and manage relationships with media outlets (TV, radio, print, online) to gain positive coverage.
Coordinate national PR efforts with regional initiatives for consistent branding.
Manage crisis communication strategies and act as a trusted media advisor to leadership.
Lead the development of press collateral and manage relationships with external PR agencies.
Oversee PR activities for events, sponsorships, and national thought leadership initiatives.
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of PR/communications experience.
Experience in tax and tax-related topics (e.g., government policy, trade, tariffs).
Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred) or equivalent experience.
Proven success in senior-level stakeholder engagement and public relations strategy.
Strong understanding of media relations, risk mitigation, and brand reputation.
Excellent communication (written/verbal), presentation, and project management skills.
Preferred Skills:
Ability to create targeted communication strategies for multiple audiences.
Expertise in analyzing and selecting communication channels.
Experience in complex, matrixed organizations with multiple stakeholders.
