Description:

Anduril Industries, a leading defense technology company dedicated to transforming U.S. and allied military capabilities through cutting-edge innovations, is seeking an Associate Director of Maritime Business Development – Surface Platform. The role focuses on driving growth, generating new opportunities, and strengthening client relationships within the maritime domain, particularly in surface warfare and autonomous systems.

This position is central to Anduril Maritime’s mission of developing advanced autonomous vehicles (surface and sub-surface), sensor fusion systems, and AI-powered solutions that redefine maritime defense operations. As a part of a highly collaborative and innovative team, you will identify and capture business opportunities, influence product roadmaps, and play a vital role in expanding the Surface Platform portfolio.


Key Responsibilities

  • Identify, pursue, and capture new business opportunities for surface platforms and related maritime systems.

  • Support growth and capture teams in proposals, RFI/RFP/RFWP responses, and customer acquisition efforts.

  • Maintain deep knowledge of client bases, technical roadmaps, and the evolving competitive landscape.

  • Foster and expand existing client relationships by identifying new business avenues and collaborative opportunities.

  • Act as a liaison between clients and engineering teams, translating client needs into actionable product development roadmaps.

  • Represent Anduril at industry events, briefings, and client engagements to project company values and technological strengths.


Requirements

  • Demonstrated success in business development or capture strategies for defense programs, especially with the U.S. Navy.

  • Strong understanding of defense acquisitions and surface warfare missions.

  • Experience in developing and deploying autonomous systems, surface platforms, and payload integrations.

  • Exceptional communication and writing skills; capable of briefing senior executives and stakeholders.

  • High-energy, adaptable, and results-driven professional with strong leadership qualities.

  • Ability to travel 20–50% and eligible for U.S. Top Secret security clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree, prior military or defense contracting experience.

  • Experience with government proposals, contract structures, and Distributed Maritime Operations.
