CoreWeave, recognized among TIME100’s most influential companies of 2024 and a leader in AI hyperscale computing, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Associate General Counsel, Employment to join its Legal team. This high-impact role offers a unique opportunity to support and shape employment law strategy for a rapidly expanding global technology company.

As a key legal advisor, you will handle a wide array of complex, cross-border employment matters including recruiting, hiring and terminations, employee relations, compensation and benefits, compliance policies, organizational restructures, and M&A integration. You’ll work closely with stakeholders across Legal, HR, Accounting, Payroll, and Executive teams to ensure policies are scalable, compliant, and business-focused.

You will report to the Deputy General Counsel, Corporate, and serve as the principal counsel on employment-related initiatives for a global workforce, contributing to one of the most innovative legal teams in the AI cloud space.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic legal guidance on employment law issues including talent acquisition, terminations, employee documentation, PEO/EOR structures, accommodations, performance management, and more.

  • Review and draft policies, handbooks, and procedures in line with evolving global employment laws.

  • Advise on organizational changes such as restructures, M&A employee transitions, and employee classifications.

  • Develop scalable and compliant employment programs, training, and processes in partnership with the People team.

  • Oversee compliance monitoring and provide legal interpretations on new legislation and regulatory developments.

  • Manage and collaborate effectively with external counsel on employment disputes and risk mitigation.

  • Support internal investigations and counsel on employee-related disputes and litigation.

  • Collaborate across departments and with senior leadership, providing sound, business-aligned legal counsel.


Required Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience advising on global employment law issues, preferably in high-growth tech or publicly traded environments.

  • Substantial in-house counsel experience paired with law firm background.

  • Expertise in U.S. and international employment regulations, compliance, and workforce strategy.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects independently and lead on key legal initiatives.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, research, and drafting skills.

  • JD degree and active bar membership (NY, NJ, CA, WA, or D.C. preferred).

  • Strong interpersonal and executive communication skills with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally.

  • Experience managing outside legal counsel and corporate litigation related to employment.


Core Technologies and Skills:

  • Legal research platforms (e.g., Westlaw, LexisNexis)

  • Familiarity with global HRIS systems and workforce platforms

  • Employment documentation systems and compliance management


Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary: $230000–$260000 annually
