Associate Manager

 

Description:

The Associate Manager, Control plays a key role in managing accounting, financial reporting, and analysis activities related to executive compensation programs and employee benefit plans. As the Associate Manager, Control you will be responsible for leading the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial planning and analysis for corporate-level accounts, including share-based compensation expense, pension expense, and other employee-related financial reporting matters. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards and SEC requirements.

As the Associate Manager, Control you will be responsible for leading the preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial planning and analysis for corporate-level accounts, including share-based compensation expense, pension expense, and other employee-related financial reporting matters. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards and SEC requirements.
 

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead accounting for compensation programs and benefit plans including preparing and/or reviewing journal entries, related account reconciliations, financial planning and analysis for corporate level accounts including share-based compensation expense and pension expense.
  • Consult with Yum Total Rewards team and actuaries for design/alterations to compensation and healthcare plans.
  • Provide assistance to the YUM Technical Accounting function including coordination of the global SOX assessment evaluating the impact of new accounting and reporting requirements and assisting with ad hoc projects.
  • Support preparation of 10-Q, 10-K and proxy statement SEC filings including preparation of footnotes and MD&A.
  • Supervise one Accounting Intern

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA designation
  • 4+ years of progressive accounting and finance experience
  • Computer literacy and experience with Microsoft Office suite
  • Ability to balance workload, adapt in a changing environment and drive process improvements and efficiencies
