The Master of Social Work is housed within the Moravian University College of Health, in the newly formed School of Behavioral and Community Health (SoBaCH). This school has a mission of training students in a multicultural and social justice framework. The interdisciplinary College of Health emphasizes collaboration and interprofessional education across three units: the School of Behavioral & Community Health, the Helen Breidegam School of Nursing & Public Health, and the School of Rehabilitation Sciences (which includes graduate programs in Athletic Training, Occupational Therapy, Physical Therapy, and Speech-Language Pathology). By combining an entrepreneurial spirit and a unique curricular structure, students and faculty are able to engage with one another across disciplines in a truly interprofessional educational environment modeled toward best practices in the clinical setting. This collaborative environment is designed to foster student learning and engagement while avoiding the traditional discipline-specific silos that impede learning

The mission of the MSW Program is to create educational and professional opportunities to educate and train clinical and advanced practice social workers dedicated to anti-racist, anti-oppressive, and healing-centered practice, with a commitment to enhancing the lives of all people, locally and globally, through innovative and competency-based education. Our interdisciplinary training approach highlights theoretical, applied, field-based, and topical knowledge, allowing students to specialize in working with marginalized populations as clinical social workers or macro-level practitioners.

Please note that this is not considered an all-inclusive list, and may change over time, in particular as the program is developed and in response to accreditation or institutional needs.
