Athletic Trainer

Description:

SPECTRAFORCE is seeking a Certified Athletic Trainer to serve as an Injury Prevention Specialist at a client’s fulfillment center in Shakopee, MN. This contract role is vital to enhancing workplace health and safety by supporting the Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Team through injury prevention strategies, ergonomic assessments, and first aid support.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in athletic training and health safety practices, and will play a key role in proactive safety interventions, employee health education, and ergonomic task analysis to minimize workplace injuries. This is an on-site role with weekday shifts (training: 7:00 AM–4:00 PM, operational shift: 3:00 PM–12:00 AM).

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide triage, first aid, and referrals for workplace injuries as needed

• Maintain accurate records of all first aid and health-related services provided

• Lead daily stretching routines and educate staff on injury prevention techniques

• Perform ergonomic assessments and body mechanic evaluations across warehouse tasks

• Develop and analyze trends in soft tissue injuries and implement actionable interventions

• Deliver accommodation recommendations based on medical restrictions

• Regularly engage with employees on the floor to coach safe work habits and improve practices

• Assist in documenting and analyzing incident data to provide monthly safety insights

Required Qualifications:

• Certified Athletic Trainer (ATC) — National Athletic Trainers’ Association or equivalent state certification

• Bachelor’s Degree in a health-related field

• CPR certification (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers or equivalent)

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite

• Ongoing maintenance of medical credentials required

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in an occupational health or industrial setting

• Certified to teach First Aid, CPR, and AED

• Experience with industrial wellness programs or worker’s compensation cases

• Demonstrated team leadership or management skills
