Description:
Mass General Brigham is seeking an Attending Physician specialized in Palliative Care Medicine to join its Department of Medicine, Division of Palliative Care & Geriatric Medicine. The successful candidate will provide care in ambulatory clinics, emergency departments, inpatient consult services, and dedicated palliative care units.
Key responsibilities include:
Delivering high-quality patient care for individuals with complex disease and care needs.
Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless and compassionate care.
Serving as a role model in clinical practice, mentorship, and academic medicine.
Actively participating in the teaching and supervision of medical students, residents, fellows, and other learners.
Supporting the department’s mission in equity, mentorship, and professional development.
This role combines clinical practice with academic opportunities, ideal for candidates interested in contributing to teaching, research, and the advancement of palliative care.
Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD).
Certification: Eligibility for Board Certification in Hospice & Palliative Medicine.
Academic Appointment: Eligible for appointment at Instructor, Assistant Professor, or Associate Professor level at Harvard Medical School.
Skills: Strong commitment to interdisciplinary teamwork, teaching, and advancing palliative care services.
