The Autodesk Platform Architect is responsible for the enterprise oversight, management, administration, and support of WSB's Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC) environment across our 1,500+ person organization. This role manages our common data environment including QA/QC processes, file management workflows, and digital design delivery standards while participating in broader technology initiatives under the direction of the Autodesk Design Technology Manager. What You Will Do:
- Oversee enterprise ACC environment including project setup, configuration, templates, and custom attributes
- Implement and enforce data governance practices, permissions structures, and access control policies
- Establish and document ACC best practices for digital design delivery across all service lines
- Monitor platform health, troubleshoot issues, and optimize performance
- Manage integrations between ACC and other enterprise systems (ERP, GIS, document management)
- Coordinate with IT Operations to plan and execute Autodesk software updates, rollouts, and license management
- Develop and maintain Civil 3D templates, styles, subassemblies, and data shortcuts aligned with client and industry standards
- Continuously improve resources including blocks, catalogs, line styles, tool palettes, and Dynamo scripts
- Create and maintain workspace configurations for multi-discipline coordination
- Design and deliver training programs for new hires and ongoing staff development (office and field personnel)
- Provide tier-2/3 technical support for Autodesk platforms including troubleshooting complex design and collaboration issues
- Mentor project teams on BIM/VDC workflows and best practices throughout design and construction phases
- Create documentation, tutorials, and knowledge base articles for self-service support
- Collaborate with the Director of Design Technology and business leaders to evaluate emerging Autodesk technologies and third-party solutions
- Develop automation scripts and tools using Dynamo, Python, or .NET to improve productivity
- Participate in standards committees and technology initiatives
- Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and eliminate inefficiencies
What You Will Bring:
- Bachelor's or Associate degree in Civil Engineering, Surveying, Construction Management, or related technical discipline
- 5+ years of hands-on experience using Autodesk products in a production engineering environment
- 3+ years working with BIM 360/Autodesk Construction Cloud in an administrative or power-user capacity
- Deep knowledge of Docs, Build, and Design Collaboration modules
- Experience with project administration, user management, permissions, and workflows
- Autodesk Certified. Professional in Civil 3D (preferred)
- Autodesk Certified Professional in Civil 3D (preferred)
- Experience with Autodesk Platform Services (APS/Forge) APIs
- Experience in consulting engineering environment with multi-state operations
- Familiarity with AutoLISP, Python, or .NET
