Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior level AWS Data Engineer to lead the design and delivery of scalable, high-performance data solutions on AWS. You will provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of data engineers, drive cloud data architecture and best practices, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, reliable, and business-driven data solutions.
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Moe than 8 years of professional experience in Data Engineering, including at least 3 years in a technical leadership or Lead Engineer role.
- Extensive hands-on experience with AWS data services, including AWS Glue, Amazon Redshift, Amazon S3, AWS Lambda, Amazon EMR/Spark, Amazon Kinesis, Amazon Athena, Amazon RDS, and API Gateway.
- Strong programming experience with Python and SQL; experience with Shell scripting and Scala is a plus.
- Proven experience designing, implementing, and managing data lakes, data warehouses, and data ingestion pipelines on AWS.
- Strong understanding of ETL/ELT processes, data modeling, data integration, and big data frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, mentor, and coach Data Engineers in a collaborative team environment.
- Hands-on experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform and CloudFormation.
- Strong understanding of data quality, security, governance, scalability, and performance best practices.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
Preferred qualifications:
- AWS Certified Data Engineer certification.
- Experience working with real-time data streaming technologies.
- Knowledge of data governance, regulatory compliance, security, and privacy best practices.
- Familiarity with Lakehouse architecture and modern cloud data platforms.
- Experience optimizing cloud data solutions for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency.
