Aws Platform Lead

Description:

As an AWS Platform Lead, you will be responsible for leading the design, implementation, governance, security, and operational management of enterprise AWS cloud platforms. You will provide technical leadership for cloud infrastructure, platform engineering, automation, DevOps, observability, and cloud-native services while ensuring scalable, secure, and highly available solutions. The role requires close collaboration with architects, application teams, security teams, and business stakeholders to drive cloud transformation initiatives and operational excellence across the AWS ecosystem. Key Responsibilities Lead the design, implementation, and support of enterprise AWS cloud platforms and shared services.Define cloud architecture standards, governance frameworks, automation strategies, and operational best practices.Manage AWS platform services including networking, compute, storage, security, monitoring, and disaster recovery.Drive cloud adoption, modernization, and migration initiatives across applications and business units.Establish and maintain Infrastructure as Code (IaC) capabilities using Terraform, CloudFormation, or similar tools.Lead platform automation initiatives to improve operational efficiency, scalability, and reliability.Oversee platform security, compliance, identity management, and cloud governance controls.Collaborate with application teams to support cloud-native architectures, microservices, and containerized workloads.Ensure platform observability through monitoring, logging, alerting, and performance management solutions.Lead incident management, problem management, root cause analysis, and service improvement initiatives.Manage platform upgrades, capacity planning, cost optimization, and operational readiness reviews.Mentor and guide cloud engineers, DevOps engineers, and platform administrators.Work with stakeholders to define cloud roadmaps and align platform capabilities with business objectives.
