Description:
TD Bank is seeking a Teller I for a part-time (20 hours per week) on-site position in Lawrence, NY. The Teller will serve as the first point of contact for customers, delivering legendary service while performing daily banking transactions with efficiency and accuracy. The Teller I plays a critical role in educating customers about TD’s products and services, facilitating self-service options, and ensuring secure, compliant transactions.
Conduct customer transactions such as deposits, withdrawals, loan payments, and night deposits with accuracy.
Perform cash handling operations including cashing checks, verifying currency, and balancing cash drawers and ATMs.
Greet and direct customers in the lobby, maintaining a positive, helpful environment.
Promote TD products and digital solutions that meet customer needs or refer them to the appropriate team.
Resolve customer inquiries or escalate concerns to management when needed.
Ensure compliance with financial regulations including Bank Secrecy Act and Patriot Act.
Maintain control over cash drawer and ensure customer information is kept confidential.
Follow dual control and security protocols to prevent fraud and minimize loss.
Complete required classroom and online training within designated timelines.
High School Diploma or GED (required)
Minimum of 6 months work experience in a customer service or retail banking environment preferred.
Strong attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Willingness to work weekends, evenings, and holidays as scheduled.
Frequent standing and sitting; occasional walking, squatting, and bending.
Occasional lifting/carrying (under 25 lbs.); no heavy lifting required.
Ability to operate standard office equipment and respond to auditory signals.
