As a Behavioral Health Technician, you will play a key role in ensuring patient safety and supporting the delivery of quality care under the supervision of the nursing staff. You will be responsible for conducting patient observations, assisting with admissions and discharges, monitoring and intervening during behavioral crises, providing 1:1 or line-of-sight monitoring, obtaining and reporting vital signs, accompanying patients to appointments, conducting searches when required, and supporting administrative and clerical duties. The role also requires effective communication with staff to relay patient concerns and active participation in implementing individualized care plans.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.

• CPI, CPR/First Aid certifications required.

• Valid state driver’s license if applicable.

• One year of acute inpatient psychiatric care experience preferred.

• Ability to maintain confidentiality, multitask, and work both independently and collaboratively.
