Day to day:
- You will report to the Director of Financial Planning & Analytics
- He reports to the President of Manufacturing who is focused on Metrics regarding Manufacturing to improve processes and help determine what issues would need to be fixed. The Director of Financial Planning is looking for someone in his team who can take the lead on that, specifically focused on Manufacturing metrics. Looking at global KPI’s.
- The firm has lots of separate databases (i.e. one database for rental, 2 for manufacturing etc).
- Writing SQL queries to pull data from those different databases and ERP systems into creating interactive Power BI (and SSRS) dashboards for metrics and reporting purposes.
- Data is relatively siloed because of the different databases. This person is tasked to unify that data for metrics/reporting purposes.
- Role relatively specific/narrow but opportunity to really take the lead and build this from scratch enterprise-wide.
Requirements (must have):
- Minimum of 4 years of experience
- *Experience writing SQL queries /scripts to pull data from different systems/databases (preferably ERP) create Power BI dashboards and working with Azure Data Factory.
- *Someone who has done this end to end and can take the lead on this “this is how we do it”
- *No one else in the team doing this. Building from scratch.
- Writing fair amount of SQL database queries
- Experience making Power BI dashboards for reporting purposes
- Experience with Azure Data Factory
- Excellent communication skills. Down to earth personality.
