This role provides the opportunity to gain exposure to all aspects of Business Intelligence, including implementing new BI tools, user support, platform administration, report development, data pipeline management, and data analysis.

What You’ll Do

  • Take full ownership of designing, developing, and maintaining an extensive range of reporting content that effectively supports critical business decisions.
  • Facilitate the growth of platforms and platform administration by proactively introducing automation measures that guarantee the seamless operation of our platforms.
  • Serve as a dedicated liaison between the Business and technical teams, working collaboratively towards providing high-quality solutions that accurately cater to the needs of our users.
  • Adhere to and champion the best practices in reporting and analysis, including data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation.
  • Provide leadership with timely recurring and ad-hoc analyses to ensure seamless decision-making processes.
  • Continuously strive towards improving ongoing platforms, reporting, automating, or simplifying processes, aiming to enhance the quality and value of data at Chewy.

What You’ll Need

  • The ideal candidate must hold a bachelor’s degree in computer science, a related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of experience with detailed knowledge of BI data warehouse technical architectures, infrastructure components, ETL/ ELT and reporting/analytic tools.
  • Should have significant experience working with BI/visualization tools such as Tableau, Qlik, Looker, etc.
  • Must possess robust SQL skills coupled with a proficient understanding of columnar databases.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Must feel comfortable operating in an environment that prioritizes self-driven learning.
  • Should be capable of acquiring data from both primary and secondary sources and sustaining data structures that are critical for analysis.
  • Must be comfortable presenting findings to Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) from various departments within the organization, including executive leadership.
