Bio-process Associate

 

Description:

The Bio-Process Associate will operate control systems and processes in Biotechnology Pilot Plants. Responsibilities include preparing process buffers and reagents, cleaning equipment, maintaining clean and orderly work areas, and following detailed SOPs and batch records. The role requires ensuring compliance with cGMP and safety standards, recording process data, and communicating operational status to management.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate control systems and biotechnology processes in pilot plants.

  • Prepare process buffers and reagents; clean equipment and maintain cleanliness.

  • Recognize and report safety, maintenance, and operational issues promptly.

  • Communicate operational status to management in a timely manner.

  • Follow detailed SOPs and batch records strictly.

  • Ensure compliance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP) and safety regulations.

  • Maintain files, records, and equipment properly.

  • Record data, log activities, and monitor processes.

  • Complete training programs and demonstrate proficiency at defined milestones (1, 3, 6, 12 months).


Education and Experience Requirements:

  • High school diploma required; A.A.S. or B.S. degree preferred.

  • 1-2 years of process operations experience preferred.

  • Mechanical aptitude with familiarity in chemistry, microbiology, mathematics, and cGMP clean room operations is a plus.

  • Attention to detail and ability to follow written instructions required.

  • Ability to work shifts and overtime as required.

  • Team player willing to embrace a collaborative culture.
