Randstad, the world’s largest staffing and recruitment agency, is seeking a Biotherapeutic Formulation Scientist for a contract role based in Chesterfield, Missouri. You’ll be part of a multidisciplinary team that supports development of therapeutics across oncology, vaccines, and rare diseases.

This full-time role, with work hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, offers a competitive hourly rate of $37.10–$39.64 and a comprehensive benefits package, including health, incentive and recognition programs, and 401K contributions, subject to eligibility.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop parenteral formulations for biologic modalities such as monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, antibody-drug conjugates, and proteins.

  • Conduct rapid and comprehensive stability characterization of candidate molecules using advanced biophysical and biochemical techniques.

  • Apply methods including HPLC (SE-HPLC, IEX, HIC, RP-HPLC), Capillary Gel Electrophoresis (CGE), Imaged Capillary Electrophoresis (iCE), Spectroscopy, light obscuration, and microflow imaging.

  • Manage laboratory logistics such as reagent procurement, equipment upkeep, and participate in lab audits.

  • Collaborate across disciplines to ensure seamless candidate development and optimization.

  • Utilize systems like Empower and electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs) for accurate data recording.

  • Prepare presentations, summarize experimental results, and verify data for reporting and internal communication.


Qualifications:

  • B.S. or M.S. in Pharmaceutics, Chemistry, Chemical/Biochemical Engineering, Biochemistry, Bioengineering, Biotechnology, Pharmacy, or Biology.

  • 0–3 years of laboratory experience related to biologic formulation or analytical characterization.

  • Strong understanding of biologics, including proteins, monoclonal antibodies, vaccines, and ADCs.

  • Experience with HPLC, Capillary Electrophoresis, and other analytical platforms is desirable.

  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to analyze and interpret data and present findings effectively.

  • Proficient with computer-based lab systems and capable of working independently and within teams.
