The BrightDrop Vehicle Product team is looking for a highly motivated and experienced Product Manager to own the in-vehicle digital workflow experience and roadmap. The ideal candidate will have a combination of product management experience and a strong technical background with the ability to translate business needs into high level requirements. As Product Manager you will be responsible for defining and driving in the in vehicle digital experience for fleet drivers. Including the definition of a fleet centric UI experience. You will execute and maintain the roadmap for the in-vehicle workflow and manage relationships within BrightDrop as well as cross-functionally with our GM partners.

Responsibilities include the following:

  • Leverage fleet customer research on user needs/pain points

  • Develop insights that are critical to understanding our fleet customers
  • Communicate actionable fleet customer insights for internal stakeholders
  • Build and articulate the strategic vision for your product
  • Prioritize what's important for your customer and the product
  • Develop and communicate your product's business case through an understanding of the problem

  • Provide marketing support to sales
  • Perform competitive analysis
  • Monitor and report on product performance
  • Develop and manage the product roadmap
  • Coordinate the creation of prototypes and concept testing

  • Document product requirements, use cases and artifacts to direct product development team
  • Develop product launch plans
  • Lead strategic decision making surrounding internal vs. external development
  • Work closely with the Delivery Product, UX Design and Engineering teams to identify market opportunities and ideate on potential solutions and products
  • Travel as required in support of the above

Education & Experience:

  • A bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or related experience
  • 4+ years of experience of product management

  • Familiar with vehicle networking technologies (CAN, LINUX, Android Auto OS etc)
  • Experience with vehicle regulatory requirements - functional safety, driver attention etc
  • Experience with automotive software systems - infotainment, active safety, autonomous
  • Experience with Android application lifecycle and ecosystem
  • Telematics or IoT deployments

  • Interactive designs for customer facing products, including voice applications
  • 3+ years of experience in software development disciplines (e.g., Agile, SAFe, Scrum).


What Would Be Even Better:

  • A master's degree in business or product management, or related experience

  • Experience in the use of current tools including Aha!, Azure Dev Ops or similar
  • Experience with BI reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
