Description:

The Bureau of Workers' Compensation (BWC) is seeking a Technology-Based Training Manager to oversee the design and development of online learning, interactive multimedia projects, training websites, and computer-based performance support applications. This role involves direct supervision of technology-based training staff and collaboration with IT teams and Learning Management System (LMS) administrators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the design and development of web-based training and interactive learning projects.

  • Supervise a team of technology-based training professionals.

  • Partner with IT teams and LMS administrators to maintain training applications.

  • Develop and maintain training SharePoint sites for both internal and external users.

  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, customers, and partners.

  • Represent the Training Department in internal and external meetings.

  • Oversee financial and human resource aspects of training projects.

Qualifications & Requirements:

Education:

  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Instructional Design, Education, or Business Administration.

Experience:

  • 3+ years of experience in training, employee development, or supervisory roles.

  • 2+ years of experience in developing web-based training using authoring tools and web development platforms.

Technical Skills:

  • Expertise in web development tools: Dreamweaver, FrontPage, HTML, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, Java.

  • Proficiency in training authoring tools: Articulate, Captivate, CourseMill, Lectora, MOODLE, Authorware.

  • Strong understanding of web design principles, UI/UX best practices, and instructional design.

Professional Skills:

  • Leadership and supervisory experience.

  • Ability to work with technical partners and stakeholders.

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills.

  • Research and data analysis skills for developing training programs.

Work Schedule & Location:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Flex-time available between 7:00 AM – 8:30 AM based on operational needs).

  • On-site work required at one of BWC’s seven offices across Ohio.
