As a Business Analysis Advisor within PNC's Regulatory Reporting Finance organization, you may be based in Pittsburgh, PA, Philadelphia, PA, Cleveland, OH, Gaithersburg, MD, Atlanta, GA, Tampa, FL or Birmingham, AL.
This is a hybrid position which provides flexibility to work both in the office and remotely. Certain job responsibilities may require time in the office on a regular basis.
The position will support PNC’s Regulatory Reporting department which is responsible for the statutory filings with regulatory agencies including, but not limited to, the Federal Reserve, OCC, FDIC, and international agencies.
The position offers the opportunity to navigate the multi-faceted and demanding regulatory landscape while partnering with experienced and diverse line of business contacts within PNC. You will learn about PNC’s entire Balance Sheet and Income Statement and all the components, while understanding the consolidation aspects of PNC’s bank and non-bank subsidiary structure. Additionally, you will contribute to the continued automation of regulatory reporting which includes: 1) using SQL and Teradata technology to query, identify and analyze automation opportunities, and 2) defining scope of activities, requirements definition, process review, impact assessment and operational streamlining.

Competencies utilized in this position include:
- Create accurate and thorough financial reports in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
- Ensure processes, procedures and workpapers adequately support reporting requirements and filed results
- Interpret and implement instructions from the various regulators
- Able to apply advanced accounting and/or finance concepts in performing complex analysis
- Gather, document and update business requirements
- Develop business testing strategies and work with project members to execute test plans, recommend preferred solutions, and implement recommendations
- Develop and maintain strong relationship with business partners and internal/external team members
- Effective communication with both regulatory reporting team and LOBs to fully understand processes and results
- Identify issues and escalates/manages resolution as required
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Math is desirable or equivalent work experience required
- Directs the research, discovery, collection and interpretation of business requirements. Participates in the development and review of complex processes and procedures, workflow analytics and reporting. May provide senior level consultation and communicates with clients and technology teams on business designs, problem solving and business analysis to support project goals and objectives.
- Consults and recommends the frameworks, methodologies and processes involved in business requirements traceability for business analysis teams. Independently mentors, leads, and coaches other associates to affect knowledge transfer. Oversees the development and maintenance of all applicable policy and procedure documentation.
- Translates business needs, processes and/or procedures by partnering with applicable experts and business stakeholders to determine and articulate needs. May communicate with senior level stakeholders and technology teams on complex business requirements.
- Leads multiple business analysis project management processes through planning, quality assurance and effectiveness assessment. Provides direction for the successful deployment of projects. Drives the development, analysis and distribution of complex reporting.
