Business Analyst

Description:

Quantum World Technologies Inc. is seeking a Technical Business Analyst/Consultant specializing in Collateral Management for a remote contract opportunity in the United States. This role requires a professional with solid experience in financial services, SWIFT protocols, payments processing, and collateral systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide comprehensive guidance to users on the firm's Collateral IT workflow.

• Perform in-depth business analysis for IT projects aimed at enhancing operational efficiency for new and existing applications within the Collateral Operations department.

• Identify and document process risks and propose actionable solutions to mitigate them.

• Align IT practices with internal policies and industry best standards by identifying and resolving process gaps.

• Support the COLLINE system: analyze, configure, and validate business workflows; coordinate with technical teams for setups, upgrades, and integrations.

• Design and execute test cases/scripts and define acceptance criteria for System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).

• Validate system behavior of COLLINE to ensure alignment with business requirements and regulatory compliance.

• Manage defect tracking and collaborate with developers to ensure timely resolutions.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Management of Information Systems, or a related field.

• 5–7 years of professional experience in IT or process engineering.

• Proven experience with Collateral Management applications—preferably AcadiaSoft products.

• Knowledge of SWIFT protocols, Payments Processing, Transaction Clearing, and Collateral Management in a banking environment.

• Strong skills in process mapping and process improvement.

• Basic proficiency in SQL for data querying and analysis.

• Strong analytical and decision-making abilities with high attention to detail.

• Ability to multitask and manage priorities effectively in dynamic project settings.

• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.

• Strong team collaboration and relationship-building capabilities.

• High level of initiative and self-direction, with the ability to work independently or in a team.
