Description:
As a Business Developer, you will be responsible for implementing strategic sales actions to increase the company’s overall revenue in the East Coast of the U.S. You will work closely with our marketing and sales teams to drive growth across our range of services, including antibody discovery, antibody engineering, bioproduction, peptide synthesis, and gene synthesis, as well as our catalog products.
In this role, you will manage and generate leads, build lasting relationships with biotech, biopharma, animal health, diagnostic and academic customers, and ensure the successful handover of converted clients to our account managers. Additionally, you will contribute to the company’s strategic commercial and communication initiatives.
Our CRM system Hubspot will support your efforts in managing your pipeline and tracking your progress.
Your Responsibilities:
Lead Generation & Outreach:
- Exploit targeted lead lists and execute telemarketing campaigns.
- Generate and qualify leads to build a strong customer pipeline.
- Discover customer’s needs
Client Relationship Management:
- Build and develop lasting client relationships.
- Organize and represent the company at industry congresses, conferences, and events such as PEGS US, AACR, Immunology.
- Conduct client visits across the Boston area and, if needed, in the US East Coast.
Strategic Sales Execution:
- Execute the defined commercial strategy to meet sales goals.
- Based on customer’s needs, define optimal scientific and technical project strategies
- Convert leads into clients.
- Transfer orders to account managers.
- Conduct cross-selling campaigns to maximize revenue per client.
Collaboration & Strategy:
- Contribute to the company’s overall commercial and communication strategies.
- Support the deployment of web-marketing campaigns to boost revenues.
Your Profile:
Experience:
- 2-5 years of experience in business development or sales within the life sciences industry.
- Established network within pharma and biotech companies, academic labs, and diagnostic laboratories in Massachusetts.
- Knowledge of biologics drug discovery and Contract Research Organization (CRO) activities is a strong plus.
